About 9.2% of the world, or 689 million people, live in extreme poverty on less than $1.90 a day, according to the World Bank.

Across the world, about 1 billion children are multidimensionally poor, meaning they lack necessities as basic as nutrition or clean water.

Some 100 million additional children have been plunged into multidimensional poverty due to COVID-19.

Here at Lotus Tree Foundation, our clear vision is to support projects in less economically developed countries and help those that are less fortunate than ourselves. This includes, building water wells, building schools, building mosques, funding education projects for children, and MORE!

On the day when all other shade will be gone, Allah will shade and shelter those who give charity and care for the poor. The Muslim's sacrifice in this life will be their protection on the Day of Judgment.

Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) saw stated: “A man is not a believer who fills his stomach while his neighbour is hungry.” This means that you are not a true Muslim or believer in Allah (SWT) if you fail to give to charity and show mercy to someone who is less fortunate than you.

The Beloved Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) said “Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire” (Hadith, Tirmidhi).
